In a Mixed Martial Arts fight, how many rounds are fought?

Each MMA promotion might have a different number. UFC, Bellator, ONE Championship, and other MMA promotions based in America follow the “UNIFIED RULES OF MIXED MATERIAL ARTS.” These unified rules provide a framework for universal MMA rules.
All states with an athletic commission regulating Mixed Martial Arts fights should adopt the unified rules. These rules are intended to protect fighters. These rules set the duration and rounds for every sanctioned MMA bout.

What do the Unified Rules of MMA have to say about Fight Rounds?

Here is the unifying rule for MMA regarding how many rounds a fight should last.

Professionals will have five rounds. Between rounds, there will be one minute of rest.

A. Contests should be at most five rounds or take at most twenty-five minutes.

B. Bouts may be one (1), two (2), or three (3) rounds. You could also have four (4) rounds.

c. Contestants cannot compete in more than five rounds or twenty-five minutes of fighting during a twenty-four (24) hour period.
